dialog, a fully peer-reviewed, bi-annual international journal of the Department of English and Cultural Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh, is now open to submissions for its next issue (No. 42). dialog provides a forum for interdisciplinary research on diverse aspects of culture, society and literature.
The journal would bring out a general issue on English and Cultural Studies. We would accept scholarly papers on any of the following aspects or related issues:
- Postcolonial Literature
- Films and Literature
- Translation
- Literary Theory
- Indian Writings in English
- Bhasha Literature
- Popular Culture
- Life-writing
- Literature and Climate Change
- Diaspora Literature
- Gender and Sex
- Posthumanism
- Affect Studies
- New Media
Important points to remember:
- Word limit for scholarly article is 4000 to 6000 words i.e. a minimum of 12 and maximum of 20 pages.
- The papers must be in 12-point Times New Roman (in accordance with MLA style sheet 8th edition). Kindly refer to the EASYBIB MLA 8 GUIDE (Courtesy : steu.edu> documents > EasyBib_MLA8_Guide) and a MLA Sample paper for the same. (Courtesy: owl.purdue.edu>owl>mla_formatting_ and_style_guide).
- The paper writers are to submit their papers to editordialog@pu.ac.in before the deadline, i.e., 15 January, 2024, along with a 50-word biographical note, and an abstract of the paper.
- The papers must be original and hitherto unpublished. No simultaneous submissions are allowed.
- The paper writers are required to give an undertaking that their paper(s) is/are orignal.
Other guidelines:
- Photo Essays must have high-resolution pictures along with text as a compressed or zip file as an attachment in e-mail. The paper-writers must ensure the copyright of all the photos used in their papers.
- The author shall have to procure copyrights for image/photo used in the paper.
- Word limit for Book Review(s) and Interview(s) is 1,200 and 4000-4500 words respectively.
